Best I recall, those trailers were about 500,000 of what little was going to be spent . They were still "to be bought" so we don't have the cash for them, either.:D These two board aren't anywhere near as good as the avg "ole miner's wife" when it comes to buying what we need and can afford. :DCoruse , most of the mama's of the families I'm talking about, didn't have the luxury of time .
If those schools are to be absorbed will they rename the schools that are absorbing them? It would seem only fair and it's gotta happen sooner or later with consolidation.
According to Perry, they will not be renaming the schools.

What would have been fair to the kids would have been for the adults to have quite fighting long enough to fund some new schools.

Wise county is not like D i c k enson county. We have too much politics and not enough Ralph Stanley.
From all the talk going on around the three schools that are going to be closed, I would say roughly 70% of the kids will either be going to Norton, Dickenson, Lee, or Russel county if the schools are not renamed.
and i hate to say it but that is absolutely ridiculous. all of this should have been settled long ago. There is a lot more to your children's education than just Dawg pride, or Viking pride, people talking about these huge schools that cause so many problems arent thinking about some of the other factors that could help their children in the long run.Quote:
